REFLEXOLOGY

Relax your mind, revive your body and restore your inner being

Reflexology is a non-intrusive and natural holistic therapy based on the principle that different points on the hands, feet and lower legs correspond with specific areas throughout the body. Applying pressure to certain points stimulates energy movement along nerve channels to restore balance in the body.

At Bodyscape Therapies, I use specialised massage techniques to stimulate specific reflex areas to help release blockages, optimise health, rebalance and promote deep relaxation. Reflexology is not a one size fits all; I will tailor each session to your condition, which may include:

  • Stress and anxiety
  • Headaches and tension
  • Muscular and joint aches and pains
  • Sleep disorders
  • Digestive issues
  • Hormonal imbalances and fertility
  • Pregnancy and postnatal care
While Reflexology does not diagnose or prescribe conditions, it can offer many health benefits, including:

Reflexology Health Benefits:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety levels
  • Headache and tension relief
  • Improved sleep patterns and relaxation
  • Enhanced mood and energy levels
  • Hormone balance
  • Conception, pregnancy and postnatal care
  • A better sense of well-being.

I offer the following Reflexology sessions:

REFLEXOLOGY
INCLUDING HOT STONE REFLEXOLOGY

A gentle and natural therapy which can help support and rebalance the body while having some much-needed time out. The treatment is both soothing and relaxing, making it useful for relieving stress and tension as well as encouraging the body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance.

Benefits of reflexology may include:

  • Relief from tension, stress and anxiety
  • Deep relaxation
  • Improved sleep
  • Enhanced mood and energy levels
  • A general sense of well-being.

It can be helpful for conditions related to stress and anxiety, headaches, tension, muscular and joint aches and pains, sleep disorders, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, fertility, pregnancy and postnatal care.

This therapy will be received as you relax on the reflexology couch. Your feet will be cleaned at the start of the treatment, and then a variety of reflexology techniques will be used. Reflexology can be beneficial for people of all ages, and sessions are always tailored to your needs.

I am also trained in Hot Stone Reflexology and Chinese Foot Massage, where more in-depth techniques may be incorporated into the routine.

SUPPORTING CONCEPTION, PREGNANCY AND POSTNATAL REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology is a relaxing and nurturing natural therapy which can be of great physical and emotional support throughout your journey from conception, pregnancy and into the postnatal period.

Conception Reflexology

Deciding to try for a baby is an exciting milestone and one which brings new challenges. If you are trying to conceive, whether you have just started or been trying for a while, Reflexology can support you and your partner both physically and emotionally. Stress is a complex condition affecting almost all parts of the body in some way, including fertility for both partners. Having Reflexology can assist in balancing your endocrine and hormone system and provide you with relaxation, which can be beneficial for conception.

Pregnancy and Postnatal Reflexology

Maternity Reflexology can be of great support during this next exciting phase in your life as it aims to optimise physical and emotional health. During pregnancy, Reflexology can help with the early stages of hormone changes through to birth. Promoting relaxation can help create the best conditions for your baby to grow and develop, as well as supporting your well-being. Postnatally, Reflexology can help you rest, relax and find your balance again. Benefits may include:

  • Promoting relaxation, reducing stress levels and relieving tension
  • Helping mums-to-be sleep better and combat fatigue
  • Relieving muscle aches and pains that occur during pregnancy
  • Helping revive tired legs and feet
  • Helping prepare the body for labour
  • Reducing pain and the length of the first stage of labour
  • Improving the quality of sleep postnatally
  • Rebalancing hormones, which may help improve milk supply and ease mastitis
  • Reducing water retention and improving digestion
